You and your beloved have your own story. Your lives are in the process of marbling together, blending in ways that are both spontaneous and planned, ways that emphasize your interconnectedness and your individuality at the same time. Your wedding should be a celebration of what that marbling looks like to you and what’s most important to you.

You deserve a ceremony that’s grounded in your values. I’ll make sure it’s beautiful, and take care of the legal formalities too.

I cringe when an officiant overlays an inauthentic, generic layer of religion over a ceremony to make it seem “official.” If you’re religious, let’s create a ceremony that highlights what means the most to you about your faith tradition(s). If you’re not, let’s lean into the ideals you cherish and what a beautiful life looks like to you. Either way, we can create an experience full of the symbolism and ritual that means the most to you.

I love writing and creating connection between people, and I wear a lot of professional hats because I hate getting bored. I’m a wills and trusts attorney by day, and I’ve worked professionally in ministry in the past at a United Methodist Church. My law school and seminary training have given me many skills that I like to weave together in ways that feel meaningful to me. I love the mysterious questions at the center of life, and exploring what motivates and grounds people.

Because the ceremonies I write are personal to each couple, I don’t share them here. Prices and fees

Elopement (up to 10 guests) with prewritten script: $125
Completely customized ceremony with rituals, readings, including separate worksheets for spouses for more personalization for ceremony: $550
Rehearsals: $250
Hourly rate for delayed starts beyond 30 minutes, etc.: $80
Travel costs: federal reimbursement rate for any travel beyond 40 miles round trip of the 20910 zip code (65.5 cents/mile as of 2023)
